  • Home-ventilator program:
  • This program, part of the Close Observation Unit, is designed specifically to teach caregivers how to care for their loved ones once they are at home and on mechanical ventilation. This four to six week, aggressively structured education and training program has been designed to explore the successful opportunity for the patient to be discharged home with the primary caregiver, while continuing to require mechanical ventilation.
  • Bernoulli ventilator management system

Accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACPR), HSC's pulmonary program serves people whose lives are limited by chronic lung disease or other serious breathing disorders. The pulmonary treatment team focuses on the whole person through breathing retraining, exercise conditioning, stress management, and nutrition education. Our technologically advanced Bernoulli system assists us in monitoring our patients respiratory conditions. It’s no wonder so many of Connecticut’s leading pulmonary specialists recommend HSC for their patients.
