Hospital for Special Care Aquatic Rehabilitation and Fitness Center
Connecticut's premier Aquatic Rehabilitation and Fitness Center is a 27,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility with two wheelchair-accessible pools - a warm-water pool for aquatic therapies and a cooler pool for fitness, athletic training and recreation.
This dynamic center (opened in 1999), is located on the campus of Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, and also features a fitness center offering the latest computerized cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, including equipment specifically designed for therapy, and accessible for individuals living with a disabilities.
This Center brings together fitness, athletic training and rehabilitation in one convenient setting. Memberships and package rates available to the public.

Class Descriptions
Session Dates: September 5th through October 27th, 2006
Aqua Surprise
The instructor will choose the type of workout at the start of class. You will be surprised by a different aerobic exercise experience every time! The class is taught in both deep and shallow water.
Aqua Splash
Try our high energy shallow aqua aerobic workout! This class includes elements of kick-boxing, step aerobics and overall muscle toning.
Aqua Tone
Work on overall strength, posture and muscle tone in a fun, warm or cool water movement class.
Joints in Motion
Join our recreational warm-water exercise class designed to enhance mobility and flexibility for individuals suffering with Arthritis, back problems, or joint pain.
Lessons
Private swim instruction for all levels and age groups is available with a trained Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Please inquire at the front desk for rates and available times.
