House Physicians
We are seeking per diem House Physicians licensed in the State of Connecticut. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must also have recent inpatient acute care training.
Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist
- Full-time Neurobehavioral Unit
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an option in Therapeutic Recreation; Certification by the National Council for therapeutic Recreation or certificate eligible. (certification is to be completed by the employee’s one-year review date); valid CT driver’s license; competence in assessing needs and managing therapeutic recreation services. In this position you will be a member of a multidisciplinary team on our neurobehavioral unit providing individual and group activities focused on leisure skill development and community reintegration. Experience with brain injury population preferred.
Neurobehavioral Technician
- Full-time & Part-time - Days, Evenings & Nights - e/o weekend - Neurobehavioral Unit
- Special Care Weekend - Sat/ Sun - Days, Evenings & Nights - Neurobehavioral Unit
Required: High School diploma or equivalent, valid & current driver’s license; must have the ability to read write and understand instructions. Preferred: nurse’s aide certification, experience in a rehabilitation/treatment setting and experience working in a team environment. Our Neurobehavioral program is for patients with traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries, which may include aneurysm, anoxia and tumors. The Neurobehavioral Technician is a paraprofessional care giver who assists in the care and treatment of a group of patients under the direction and supervisions of the Team Leader and/or Registered Nurse.
Physical Therapists
- Part-time/Full-time - 20-40 hours, Days, Outpatient Therapy
- Per Diem PT and PTA
Required: Bachelor's degree from an acredited college or university with a major in Physical Therapy, current CT licensure, and a valid drivers license.
Current CPR certification preferred.
Registered Dietician
The registered dietitian is a member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for accurately assessing and providing quality nutritional care to patients. He/she is also responsible for communicating relevant information to other team members, food services, and medical staff and providing education to staff, patients/families and others as needed.
Therapeutic Specialists
- Full-time - Days/Evenings, Neurobehavioral Unit
Required: Bachelors degree, minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation/treatment setting, general counseling skills, working knowledge of behaviorism and learning history and current valid driver’s license. The Therapeutic Specialist is the primary behavior therapist for an assigned group of patients. You will assess behavioral functioning and provide treatment under the direction of the Team Leader.

Clinical Nurse Manager
- Full-time - Pediatric Unit
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, current and valid CT RN license; a minimum of three to five years clinical management and supervisory experience with the pediatric population in an acute care or long term acute care setting; demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. (M.S. in Nursing/current matriculation in an accredited program preferred). This full time leadership opportunity oversees the day to day operations of our 30-bed Pediatric Unit. Reporting to the Vice President of Patient Care Services, the Clinical Nurse Manager provides leadership direction and collaborates with a dynamic interdisciplinary team providing patient-focused care. The Clinical Manger is responsible for the direction of all patient care activities, 24-hour operations, strategic plan and staff functions of the unit.
Supervisor Respiratory Care Services
- Night, Part-time - 20 hour, occasional weekends
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National
Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC); Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the state of CT; have a
minimum of five years experience in Respiratory Care, demonstrating effective leadership abilities.
The Respiratory Care Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Respiratory Care Service which includes
planning, organizing and coordinating activities. You will also provide direction and supervision and of the
respiratory therapy personnel and support the nursing leadership on matters related to respiratory care. You will monitor the integrity and operation of the Bernoulli Monitoring and Alarm System, and the Blood Gas Lab in
collaboration with the Clinical Educator of Respiratory Care Services.
RN Shift Manager
- Full-time, Evenings - Monday through Friday, occasional weekends
Required: Current CT RN license and a minimum of 3 years professional experience and one year supervisory experience; demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and competence in the clinical area are also required. Preferred: BSN or MSN. In this role you will report to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and have the responsibility and accountability for patient care activities, personnel management, staffing coordination, and operational management on a designated shift.

Driver
- Per Diem position - Days, Operations Support Services
Required: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; current valid Connecticut CDL Class A, B, or C Driver’s License with passenger endorsement and no moving violations within the last five years; basic first aid/CPR certification for adults; demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills and ability to perform body mechanics associated with wheelchair transportation. This position provides for the safe transportation of patients and staff to designated locations as well as courier services for various departments. You may also need to provide transportation for patients on occasional weekend or evening trips.
Associate Child Care Teacher
- Full-time - Days, Child Care
Required: Child Development Associate (CDA) with an Infant & Toddler Endorsement and a minimum of twelve
(12) credits in Early Childhood Education; OR the ability to provide ongoing evidence of enrollment in a program to
obtain a CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent; Strong interpersonal skills and one
two years working in a licensed child care program. In this position you will provide coverage to maintain ratios on
an as needed basis. You will also provide appropriate supervision of children both indoors and out; planning and
implementation of the Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years; actively assist Teachers in maintaining NAEYC accreditation and documentation, complete and conduct assessments of children, actively support program activities, policies, procedures and practices in accordance with the program philosophy, Department of Public Health Child Day Care Licensing Unit, State Department of Education and NAEYC; Flexibility and ability to work hours between 6:30 am and 5:30 pm and attend staff meetings and trainings outside of regularly work hours.

Youth Camp Director
- Full-time - Days, Summer 2010
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, with 2-3 years work experience in a licensed Youth Camp or licensed school age program or other licensed school age setting or Associate's Degree in Education or related field with a minimum of 5 years work experience in a licensed Youth Camp or licensed school age program; Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills; effective interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills. As Youth Camp Director you will supervise staff; maintain required child: staff ratios; maintain compliance with DPH regulations and HSC and CSC Youth Camp policies and procedures to insure the health & safety of children and staff; Oversee program development, implementation and evaluation appropriate for school age children; maintain inventory of equipment and supplies and report needs to Director of Child Care; Arrange staffing to meet program needs and monitor timekeeping and report attendance to Child Care Administrative Assistant for system maintenance; Demonstrate flexibility in meeting program needs between 6:30 am and 5:30 pm.

Youth Camp Lead Counselor
- Full-time - Days, Summer 2010
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field with 1-2 years work experience in a licensed Youth Camp or licensed school age program or other school age setting, or; Associate's Degree in Education or related field with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a licensed Youth Camp or licensed school age program or other school age setting; Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills. You must also have effective interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills. In this role you will supervise the staff, maintain required child: staff ratios; maintain compliance with DPH regulations and HSC and CSC Youth Camp policies and procedures to insure the health & safety of children and staff; Assist in program development, implementation and evaluation appropriate for school age children; assist in maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies and report needs to Youth Camp Director and/or Director of Child Care as appropriate; Assist in arranging staffing to meet program needs. You will also assume the role of Youth Camp Director as Alternate Director in the Youth Camp Director’s absence.

Youth Camp Counselor
- Full-time - Days, Summer 2010
Required: Completion of a minimum of 2 years college course work relating to human development, or a relevant field of education. (Will consider appropriate experience in lieu of 1-year of education) Minimum 2 years experience working in a licensed Youth Camp and/or other licensed school age program. You must also have effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. In this position you will maintain compliance with DPH regulations and HSC and CSC Youth Camp policies and procedures to insure the health and safety of children and staff; assist in the development, planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities for school age children; report supply and equipment needs to Youth Camp Director, report health and safety issues and concerns to Youth Camp Director; provide effective supervision of children at all times; you must also maintain required child:staff ratios at all times.
