Neurobehavioral Technician
  • Part-time - Evenings & Nights - e/o weekend - Neurobehavioral Program

Required: High School diploma or equivalent, valid & current driver’s license; must have the ability to read write and understand instructions. Preferred: nurse’s aide certification, experience in a rehabilitation/treatment setting and experience working in a team environment. Our Neurobehavioral program is for patients with traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries, which may include aneurysm, anoxia and tumors. The Neurobehavioral Technician is a paraprofessional care giver who assists in the care and treatment of a group of patients under the direction and supervisions of the Team Leader and/or Registered Nurse.

Pharmacy Technicians
  • Part-time - Per Diem

Required: High School diploma or equivalency, CT Pharmacy Technician Registration or within 2-weeks from hire, current & valid CT Driver’s License. Two to three years hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred. The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in preparing, distributing medication, performing sterile admixture compounding, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. The Pharmacy Technician will only work under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.

Occupational Therapist
  • 20 to 40 hours - Neurobehavioral Program

Required: Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university with a major in Occupational Therapy. Initial certification as an Occupational Therapist by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc.; Current CT License; valid driver’s license and must maintain continued competency requirements as defined by state. In this position you will evaluate, plan, implement and document a goal oriented program of purposeful activities and therapeutic interventions to develop or maintain skills necessary for patient's maximal physical and mental functioning You will also participate in an interdisciplinary team approach, communicating relevant information to others and providing education to staff, patients and families as necessary. In this role you will supervise and direct the occupational therapy assistant.

Social Worker MSW/LCSW
  • Full-time - Days, Transitional & Neurobehavioral Units

Required: M.S.W. from an accredited graduate school of Social Work and must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of CT. The Social Worker is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team responsible for meeting the psychosocial needs of the patient. Responsibilities may include patient/family assessment, counseling, education, case management, advocacy and planning services. The Social Worker may also facilitate the development of a discharge plan and may coordinate after care continuity. The Social Worker provides education to staff, patients and families as necessary.

Speech Language Pathologist
  • Part-time - 20 hours, Days, Float Pool & Per Diem Positions

Required: Graduate of an ASHA accredited Master's program in Speech-Language Pathology; Connecticut License or eligibility in speech-language pathology; Competency in the diagnosis and management of cognitive communication and swallowing disorders and valid CT driver’s license. In this position you will be a member of an experienced Speech team that highly regards evidence-based practice and life long learning. You will provide services at our main campus and satellite. Three or more years experience and prior work with neurological and medically complex patients preferred.

Therapeutic Specialist
  • Full-time - Day/Evenings, Neurobehavioral Unit

Required: Bachelors degree, minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation/treatment setting, general counseling skills, working knowledge of behaviorism and learning history and current valid driver’s license. The Therapeutic Specialist is the primary behavior therapist for an assigned group of patients. You will assess behavioral functioning and provide treatment under the direction of the Team Leader.

Assistant Clinical Manager
  • Part-time - 32 hours, Evenings, Mon-Fri, occasional weekend, Satellite Unit

Required:  Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut, minimum 3-5 years experience in medical/surgical nursing or critical care nursing. In lieu of nursing experience, previous clinical responsibilities in a healthcare related profession may be considered, minimum of 1-year supervisory experience and you must have the ability to collaborate with a interdisciplinary team. The Assistant Clinical Manager is a professional caregiver and designated leader who assumes clinical and operational leadership, responsibility, and accountability for coordination of unit staff and activities for the population served.

  • Full-time, Nights - Monday - Friday, occasional weekends

Required: Current CT RN license and a minimum of 3 years professional experience and one year supervisory experience; demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and competence in the clinical area are also required. Preferred: BSN or MSN. In this role you will report to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and have the responsibility and accountability for patient care activities, personnel management, staffing coordination, and operational management on a designated shift.

  • Part-time Days - 16 hours per week; daily hours = 4-6 pm

Required: High school diploma, ability to work independently, prioritize work, and multi-task. Preferred: 1 plus years administrative experience in an office or hospital setting; basic knowledge of WORD & EXCEL. Assists with the timely recording and delivery of billing sheets, and appropriate and timely filing of patient records; photocopying, ordering supplies, departmental mail, telephone coverage, typing, mailing patient reports, processing of consultation reports and intake referrals, backup to Office Coordinator.

Staffing Coordinator
  • Full-time Days - 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm Mon-Fri plus E/O weekend

Required: High school diploma or equivalency; knowledge of Windows based software; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In this position the Staffing Coordinator will assess, review and coordinate clinical discipline schedules to insure adequate staffing throughout the Hospital. Other responsibilities include reviewing the number and level of personnel required according to data and adjust the staffing daily. Coordinates coverage to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts, vacations, and holidays.

Switchboard Operator
  • Per Diem - Support Services

Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; experience working with a keyboard, good customer service skills, good organizational and communication skills and must have the ability to prioritize tasks. Experience with operations of multi-line telephone consoles and working with Microsoft Office is preferred. The operator is responsible for facilitating internal and external communication through the appropriate use of the facility’s telephone console and paging systems. In this position you will also transmit calls and dispatch Hospital staff to emergencies as appropriate. You will also work closely with Engineering and Security personnel to monitor the appropriate activities as directed, including security cameras and other internal equipment.
