Employee Benefits
At Hospital for Special Care our employees give so much to our special patients; we take pride in offering them a comprehensive benefits package. To be eligible for these benefits you must be employed at a minimum of 20 hrs per week. If you are a per diem employee, or an employee working less than 20 hrs per week, you may be entitled to certain benefits. Please inquire for further details.
Student Loan Repayment
Student loan repayment is available to Registered Nurses employed at the hospital. HSC offers a $10,000 repayment of outstanding loans related to acquiring a Registered Nurse degree.
Medical Plan
Employees are offered a variety of options from which to choose; these benefits include coverage for domestic partners. Eligibility is effective the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
Dental Plan
You will have a choice of 2 plans. We have a plan where you can see any licensed dentist of your choice, or a DMO Plan with a higher level of coverage.
Flexible Spending Accounts (Section 125)
This plan allows you to put money into a reimbursement account pre-taxed for such things as medical and dependent care expenses not covered under other benefits.
Disability Insurance
We offer both short-term (employee paid) and long-term (hospital paid) disability for our employees.
Group Term Life Insurance
This is 100% hospital paid. You are eligible to participate the first of the month following one year of service.
Tax Sheltered Annuity
We have a 403(b) savings plan for eligible employees. You are invited to participate in this plan from your date of hire. After one year of service with a 1,000 hours worked, HSC will provide a matching contribution. You will also receive a CORE benefit that is a percentage of your earnings. The matching percentage and CORE contribution will be determined by your age plus years of service.
Paid Time Off
An employee hired to work a minimum of 20 hours a week will enjoy a generous paid time off plan which affords you the flexibility to manage your paid time off to meet your individual needs.
Holidays
Employees hired to work a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible for 7 paid holidays per year.
Child Care Services
We have an on-site child care center for children ages 6-weeks to 5 years and a vacation and summer camp for school age children.
Tuition Reimbursement
Generous tuition reimbursement is available to all employees hired for 20 or more hours.
Adoption Assistance
Employees hired to work a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to receive up to $6,000 for adopting a child under the age of 18 after six months of employment.
