How Volunteers Can Help Manes & Motions
Riding Program Volunteers:
- Leading horses – leaders assist in preparing horses for sessions (groom and tack);
- Sidewalking – sidewalkers are responsible for the safety of the rider and walk on each side of the horse during the rider's sessions. All riding program volunteers must attend an orientation, which provides hands-on training prior to assisting in the riding ring.
Administrative and Office Volunteers: this type of support is needed throughout the year. Tasks include: assisting with mailings, phoning and data entry.
Fundraiser Volunteers: to assist with the planning and coordinating of Manes & Motions fundraisers each year as well as the day of the event.
Special Skills Volunteers: please share your special skills with Manes & Motions, e.g.: public relations, computer knowledge.
