House Physicians
We are seeking per diem House Physicians licensed in the State of Connecticut. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must also have recent inpatient acute care training.
Physical Therapists
- Full-time - 40 Hour Day position - Float Pool
- Full-time - 40 Hour Day position - Close Observation Unit
- Per Diem PT and PTA
Required - Bachelor's degree from an acredited college or university with a major in Physical Therapy, current CT licensure, and a valid drivers license.
Current CPR certification preferred.
Registered Dietitian
- Part-time - 32 hours, Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Part-time - 20 hours Pediatrics

Required: Must be a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor's degree and graduate of ADA accredited coordinated undergraduate program, AP4, or Dietetic Internship. Individual must also be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative and flexible Clinical Dietitian to become a part of our Rehabilitation Team. You will be responsible for the Medical Nutrition Therapy of patients including assessing the nutritional needs of patients, coordinating nutritional intervention with the interdisciplinary team, developing nutrition care plans and providing nutrition education. You will also make recommendations to the physicians for appropriate nutrition to improve patient outcome. Nutrition support experience preferred.
Occupational Therapist
- Part-time - 24 hours

Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Occupational Therapy, initial certification as an Occupational Therapist by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc., current CT licensure and valid driver's license required. CPR certification and membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association preferred.
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
- 24-40 hours - New Britain & Hartford Campuses
Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an concentration in Therapeutic Recreation; Certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation or certificate eligible. (Certification is to be completed by the employee's one-year review date). Competence in assessing needs and managing therapeutic recreation services for HSC patient population and a valid driver's license. The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist will develop and implement plans, document according to therapeutic recreation standards and perform a variety of service line and professional tasks. You will also ensure the successful provision of functional skill development and independence in recreation/leisure participation during both inpatient stay and post discharge.
Neurobehavioral Technician

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; valid current Driver's license; ability to read write and understand instructions. The Neurobehavioral Technician is a paraprofessional care giver who assists in the care and treatment of a group of patients under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader and/or Registered Nurse.
Dentist
Required: We are seeking a Dentist to work one day per week with our pediatric population at the Special Care Dental Services. Must have a current Connecticut Dental license.
Speech Language Pathologist
- Full-time - 20 hours Float Pool & 20 hours Neurobehavioral Unit
Required: Must have graudated from an ASHA-accredited Master's program in Speech Language Pathology and possess State of Connecticut License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency. CFY supervision is available. In this position the focus will be to provide service to our Neurobehavioral program which is comprised of a chronic adult ABI population. Other services may include respiratory, pediatrics and rehabilitation.

Required: High School/GED diploma; must have clear and appropriate interpersonal and communication skills; be able to lift and transfer patients, work independently and be able to read, write and understand instructions in English. The Service Line Associate assists in the completion of a variety of tasks including the following: clerical, equipment management, individual and group recreational activities, range of motion, patient transport and one to one patient supervision in order to ensure the successful operation of the service line.

Assistant Teachers
- Per Diem - Child Care Center
Minimum of a High School diploma or a G.E.D., Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with one-year experience working in a licensed childcare program, minimum of one to two years experience working in a licensed child care center or group setting and strong interpersonal skills. Assistant Teachers will apply their knowledge of child development and child care for children ages six weeks to five years of age, to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate program for young children in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and practices of CSC Child Care Center programs, NAEYC and DPH Child Day Care Licensing Unit.
Aquatic Fitness Instructor
- Per Diem - Day/Evening and Saturday hours available
Required: High School Education, CPR Certification including Automated External Defibrillation (AED), 2-years teaching experience as a water aerobics instructor and Aquatic Exercise Association Instructor Certification. The Aquatic Fitness Instructor is responsible for instructing a variety of aquatic exercise classes as well as choreographing routines and coordinating music. This position requires the ability to deliver safe and effective group exercise instruction to class participants with varying fitness levels. Plans and teaches correct fitness methods in a logical progression, demonstrating the ability to develop various workout routines to include; the use of equipment, ongoing motivation, and feedback regarding proper execution of movements.
Aquatic Personal Trainer
- Per Diem - Morning/Evening Hours
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or Exercise Physiology and Personal Trainer Certification with a minimum of one years of experience working as a Personal Trainer. CPR certification including Automated External Defibrillation is also required.
Lifeguards
- Per Diem - Days, evenings and Saturday hours available
Required: American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification with First Aide or equivalent, CPR Certification including Automated External Defibrillation and participation in quarterly demonstration of physical life guarding skills.
Unit Secretary
- Inpatient Rehabilitation, Part-time - 20hrs, Days and e/o weekend
Required: High School education or equivalency; proficient typing/computer skills, excellent organizational and communication skills. The Unit Secretary provides efficient, confidential and diversified support to the staff.
Teacher
Required: HAssociates Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a minimum of thirty (30) credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Special Education. One to two years working in a NAEYC accredited child care Program and strong interpersonal skills. In this role you will provide coverage to maintain ratios on an as needed basis. Provide leadership to classroom staff regarding the supervision of children both indoors and out, planning and implementation of the Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities for children, take lead role in maintaining NAEYC accreditation and documentation, ensure assessments of children are completed and conducted, and actively support program activities, policies, procedures and practices in accordance with the program philosophy, Department of Public Health Child Day Care Licensing Unit, State Department of Education (as applicable) and NAEYC.
Security Guards

Required: High school diploma or equivalent; State of Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card Valid State of Connecticut driver's license; Must be able to deal with all people in a variety of situations. and demonstrate good judgment, and flexibility in changing circumstances.
You must also have good interpersonal and communication skills. In this role you will provide a safe and secure environment for all persons utilizing any Center for Special Care environment.
Aquatic Services Associate
- Part-time - 22½ to 29 hours, 3:30pm - 8:00pm Monday-Friday and 6:00am- 1:00pm e/o Saturday
Required:High School/GED diploma, basic knowledge of computer programs and CPR Certification including Automated External Defibrillation (AED). Previous experience in a pool or fitness setting is preferred. The Aquatic Services Associate is responsible for providing customer service and administrative support to members and staff under the direction of the Fitness and Membership Coordinator. The Aquatic Services Associate assists with operations of the ARC membership desk, gym, and pool.
Outpatient Admission Representative
- Full-time - Days, Outpatient
Required: High School Diploma; two years hospital or medical business office experience, or comparable experience with third party or collection agency; knowledge of third party insurers, contracts and reimbursement practices; familiarity with medical terminology; excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills; experience with automated systems and computer operating knowledge and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. In this position you will be responsible for the smooth operations of all front desk/reception area functions as well as other administrative/clerical duties, pre-admission and admission of all hospital outpatients, ensuring the adequate financial backing; the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all assigned patient accounts and perform ongoing analysis of accounts to determine continuation of eligibility of benefits and implements appropriate appeals, coordination of benefits, adjustments, and re-authorizations.
